Length of LED strips

While purchasing these strips, people just look at their length. Though, length is important, but also need to look at the number of LEDs embedded in the strip. It would be better to purchase the strip that is embedded with high number of LEDs per meter or yard. In case, if the LEDs are placed far away from each other in the strip, then it does not produce spot bright lighting instead it gives a clean line of lighting. However, figure of LEDs used in the strip varies from manufacturer to manufacture. Few manufacturers sell 200 LEDs per reel whereas others may sell 90 LEDs per reel.

Colors availability

These strips are available in different color and in changing colors too. The basic LED strip light called non addressable, emits only one fixed color. These are easy to install and are very cheap. The other source of light called non addressable RGB strips. They display any of these three (red, green or blue) color. They are different to that of non-addressable one. Generally, in addressable strips, there is a controller placed in between each led to control the LEDs individually. However, these are expensive and cannot be used for home purpose.
